With all aftermarket exhaust systems, you must unplug your O2 sensor and plug/block off your AIS for proper functionality.

Your bike will have a temporary check engine light displayed on the dash after the ECU is powered up outside of the bike for flashing. This will clear itself after TWO ride cycles. Rideability will not be affected while the check engine light is on.

With all NEWER Yamaha's the unplugging of the ECU triggers a check engine light. That check engine light will not go away on it's own. We have the OBD2 scanner + adapter for sale on our website. This will clear the code or you can go to your local Yamaha dealer to have it cleared.


2021 and newer Kawasaki's will also trigger a check engine light, but will clear after 3 rides over 25 miles each. Until the light is cleared, the modes are not selectable and the quickshifter will not work.


An ECU flash may not meet safety or emissions testing required in some states, provinces and counties. Purchaser is responsible to check their state of residence to confirm the aforementioned and must use vehicle in accordance with state/county/province regulations. An ECU flash is for off road / track ridden motorcycles only.
